Designing experiences for human attention.
Art · Embodiment · Reflection · Human-centred technology

1. WHY OROONU EXISTS
Technology shapes how we spend our attention.
We believe we can choose what we design it for.
OROONU explores another possibility: digital and physical experiences designed to give space back to the body, perception and reflection.
Rather than asking for more attention, OROONU creates thresholds that invite you to return to your own experience.
2. THE IDEA
BODY AND MIND ARE OUR FIRST TECHNOLOGIES.
OROONU brings art, symbolic language, embodied practice and reflection into dialogue.
Art initiates the experience.
Technology opens the door.
The body carries it forward.
3. THE FOUNDER
ANDREA VILLANIS
Founder · Creative & Product Lead
Artist · Philologist · Researcher
Andrea Villanis is an Italian artist, philologist and researcher based in Berlin. Her work moves across visual culture, language, symbolism, urban space and embodied experience.
OROONU grew from a deeper question: how can we design technologies and experiences that serve human attention rather than compete for it?
Andrea created OROONU as a space where art, body, symbolic language and technology can work together to deepen — rather than consume — human experience.
At OROONU she leads product vision, creative direction, symbolic systems, experience design, methodology and product development.
