NIGREDO
The first OROONU journey.
Seven movements. Seven weeks. One card at a time.
A symbolic journey through image, body, attention and reflection.
WHAT IS NIGREDO?
BEFORE SOMETHING NEW TAKES FORM, SOMETHING ELSE MAY NEED TO LOOSEN.
NIGREDO takes its name from the first stage of alchemy — a symbolic image of matter losing its previous form before another can emerge.
Here, it becomes a space to pause, return to the body and allow a different question to appear.
ONE CARD.
SEVEN DAYS.
Each movement brings together:
IMAGE · SYMBOLIC TEXT · EMBODIED PRACTICE · REFLECTION
Stay with one card for a week.
Return to it.
Repeat the practice.
Write — or don’t.
There is nothing to achieve.
Only time returned to your own attention.

HOW THE JOURNEY UNFOLDS
01 · ENCOUNTER
Meet the image before trying to understand it.
02 · READ
Let the text open a possible direction.
03 · EXPERIENCE
Bring the movement into the body through practice.
04 · ASK
Carry the question without rushing to answer it.
05 · RECORD
Notice what appears. Write to observe, not to conclude.
06 · RETURN
Come back before moving to the next card.
One movement prepares the ground for the next.
That is why, the first time through NIGREDO,
the sequence matters.
